Ruijin Hospital
Ruijin Hospital, originally named Guangci Hospital, was founded in 1907. It is a large-scale, Grade A tertiary general teaching hospital. Currently, it operates three campuses (Huangpu Campus, Jiading Campus, and Yuanyang Campus) with a total of 2,942 approved beds. For five consecutive years, the hospital has achieved an A++ rating in the national performance assessment of public hospitals. It is among the first batch of pilot hospitals for high-quality development of national public hospitals, pilot hospitals for modern hospital management systems, and national emergency medical rescue bases.
The hospital currently houses research institutions such as the Innovation Center, the Whole Life Cycle Health Management Center, the Brain Disease Center, the Advanced Medical Imaging Technology Research Institute, the Medical Chip Research Institute, the Clinical Research Center, and the Medical Robotics Research Institute. Focusing on the forefront of medicine, after years of efforts, the first domestically produced proton therapy system has been officially approved for market launch.
